Meet The Team
Barb Oviatt
Barb's 30+ years in fitness has brought her to a specialty in integrating nutrition and movement. As a nutrition coach, Barb empowers her clients to eat mindful macros and fast intermittently.
Barb earned her RYT directly under Baron Baptiste and continues to teach in the dynamic and fun style. You can catch her class several times a week.
Barb was born and raised in Alberta, Canada. She has lived in Missoula and Las Vegas, but for the last 23 years has called Liberty Lake home with her husband, 3 children + 2 grandlittles.
Brooke Morgan
Brooke started her yoga practice as an aimless college student in 2011. It was in her first (ever!) downward dog that the light switch flipped and she started prioritizing physical health and true wellness.
Brooke teaches vinyasa, hatha + Pilates classes focused on working with the body you have right now to build strength and flexibility from the inside out. She offers monthly meditations great for anyone new to the game.
Originally from Louisiana, Brooke has spent the past few years meandering around the sunny southwest, where The Mat's retreats often unfold...
Erin May Applegate
Affectionately called our resident Pilates Princess, Erin May is a wealth of knowledge in mindful movement. Trained as a yoga teacher, Pilates instructor + personal trainer, Erin's classes are a blend of exercise physiology + personalized guidance.
You'll walk away from Erin's class with a better understanding of how you move + a smile on your face. After all, laughter is our favorite kind of core work!
Kaitlin Larson
Kaitlin was born and raised in Spokane, WA and is a proud graduate of Gonzaga University *GO ZAGS!* She found her way to yoga and mindfulness through anxiety and believes they are essential parts of a healthy life. She is also a proud grad of Joyful Pose Yoga School!
Kaites' classes are powerful and fun! Connected with high energy music, you can't help but feel the heat from the inside out. She brings humor and WORK to every class.
Married to her best friend Wes for 20 years, and mom to 3 phenomenal kids, Kaites spends time off the mat tending to her ladies (yay plants), dancing, laughing at a dirty joke, paddleboarding, or curled up with a book.
Kristen Gustke, C-IAYT
Kristen is an Anusara-Inspired Yoga Therapist trained under the lineage of Amy Ippoliti, Karen Sprute-Francovich, Indu Arora, Shanti Shanti Kaur Khalsa, Chinnamasta Stiles, Swami Lisa Pearson, Neil Pearson, John Friend, and Doug Keller. She is also a Certified Childlight Yoga Instructor, a Reiki Level II practitioner, and DONA trained Doula.
Meditating since 10, she is an avid student of mindfulness and its effects on the body. Through breath + body awareness she strives to guide each student inward toward a more steady, aware, and peaceful place.
Kristen's classes focus on optimal alignment for wellness, injury prevention and pain-relief.
Bridgette Harris
Bridgette is a stay at home mom of two wonderful kids, and loves every minute of it! She enjoys hiking, paddleboarding, reading, and doing ALL the mom things.
Bridgette has been practicing since high school. On her mat, she found the much needed “me time” that mom + wife life can distract from.
Bridgette graduated from Joyful Pose in 2020. She now offers a class that's energetic, exciting and always a little silly. Bridgette believes that yoga is about being true to yourself and practicing what's best for your body in each moment.
Stina Jennings
Stina teaches Core + Restore and Yoga Sculpt to great music. Her classes focus on empowering YOU by creating a non-judgmental, welcoming environment where you can explore at your own pace.
Stina discovered yoga in 2017 after a shoulder injury. What started as a way to build strength quickly became a transformative path to self-discovery. Stina completed her 200-hour training with JOYFUL POSE yoga school. Yoga has taught her so much more than physical poses. Her mission is to help students connect their breath with mindful movement, both on and off the mat. Come move, sweat + breathe with Stina!
Mary Shaw
Mary is a Spokane native, but has lived much of life in Colorado. She's back in Washington and has been sharing her love of yoga in the community since. Mary has practiced meditation and Ayurvedic principles to balance mind, body + spirit from an early age. She is a graduate of Joyful Pose.
Some of Mary's favorite activities include horseback riding, hiking and snowshoeing. She is passionate about the benefits of laughter and connection with animals. Mary continues to study kinesiology to further her commitment to share her knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and exercise science.
